As Middlebury College students evacuated campus and Covid-19 broke out in Vermont, town businesses saw a decline in sales and were forced to close or reduce staff.
The individual tested positive through Porter Hospital's drive-through testing service and is now self-isolating.
Fewer than 140 students remain on campus as they wait with uncertainty for the college's next steps.
