A glimpse of Dolci: Taste buds travel to Germany

On Friday, April 18, Jahnavi Choraria ’25 and Ryan Greguski ’25 cooked and baked a German-inspired four course meal in Atwater Dining Hall with Dolci, Middlebury’s student-run restaurant.

The first course was German cheesy egg noddles with crispy onions.

The main course was chicken schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and braised red cabbage, served with non-alcoholic beer.

Dessert was scrambled pancakes with applesauce, a traditional Austrian treat.

The starter course was a sausage and cheese platter with pretzels and carrot salad.

Choraria and Greguski studied abroad in Mainz, Germany last spring, inspiring them to cook and bake German food for their peers back on Middlebury’s campus.

June is a political science major and studio art minor, also studying history and Spanish. He spent the summer of 2025 working as a political science research assistant examining investments in the Congo River Basin to achieve international biodiversity and carbon goals.
