Bake and rummage sale
Oct 29, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and
Oct 30, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
The Middlebury United Methodist Church has organized a rummage sale.From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fri., there will be a bakesale in the upstairs kitchen and a rummage sale downstairs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The sale continues into Sat. and all bags are $2. “Prometheus” performance

Enjoy some local theater! Students from the Addison Repertory Theater are presenting a play about the Greek god Prometheus with a comedic twist at the Patricia A. Folk concert

Spend an evening getting lost in the music of Garnet Rogers, a Canadian singer-songwriter recognized for his amazing voice and insightful songs.  Rogers will perform at the United Methodist Church, located on 47 N Pleasant St. Tickets cost $18 in advance and $20 at the door and can be purchased at Main Street Stationery, the Middlebury Inn or by calling (802) 388-0216. Pumpkins in the Park
Oct 30, 6:45 p.m.
Head over to the Vergennes City Park for a classic pumpkin carving contest. At 7 p.m., there will be a “pumpkin glow,” as participants show off their designs. There will also be a costume parade, cider and doughnuts. Sound like a fun way to get in the Halloween spirit? Be sure to register your pumpkin and make the trip to Vergennes. Registration forms are available through the Addison County Chamber of Commerce and at Vergennes merchants.

Concert in Vergennes

Rock out this Saturday night to a variety of songs by local band Panton Flats. The group will play motown, blues, country, funk and rock at the Vergennes Opera House. You don’t want to miss out! Call the Opera House at (802) 877-6737 for more information.

Tai chi seminar
Nov 2, 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Looking for a new hobby? Join Madeline Piat-Landholt at the Lincoln Library for “Tai Chi for Health.” There are numerous physical and mental benefits of tai chi, and the practice is also known for increasing longevity. While no fee is required for the class, there is a suggested donation of $10. So if you’ve exhausted the myriad of activities on campus, or are just looking for a great study break, head over to the Lincoln Library (located at 222 West River Rd.) on Tuesday night.
