Pia Contreras Balbuena ’22 is the Visuals Editor.
She previously worked as a cartoonist for The Campus, originally publishing under the “Coffee Beans” series.
Contreras Balbuena is an Environmental Studies Major with a focus in Studio Art, with a deep interest in environmental justice. At Middlebury, Contreras Balbuena designs for WRMC and is an organizer for Nocturne.
Last Fall, students in History Professor Elsa Mendoza’s Public Humanities Labs course titled “Baseball, Society and U.S. History” (FYSE 1001) reenacted the First World Series (1903) at Virtue Field House. The lab was one of many that Prof. Mendoza developed for the class.
