Alex Rhinehart '05, Adam Rahal '05, David Bernay '04 and Whitney Whiken '02, members of Assistant Professor of German Bettina Matthias' class Vienna 1900, won the Annual German Theater Competition at Mt. Holyoke College for their performance of "Anatols Groessenwhan" on May 2. The students began rehearsals of the one act play in October and performed it at Middlebury College during Winter Term. The success of that performance inspired Matthias to take the show to the festival. It is the third time that the College has sent a group to the festival.
