To the Middlebury College Community,
On behalf of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS) Student Advocacy Council, we would like to share our heartfelt sympathy and support for Lia Smith’s family and friends, and to everyone at Middlebury who feels her absence. Though we are separated by distance, we are united with you in this time of mourning.
We also want to recognize the efforts of the community members, the Middlebury Police Department, Vermont State Police, and Middlebury College students who have been tirelessly during the investigation and during the search for Lia.
Please know that the MIIS community is thinking of you and remains ready to support in any way we can.
